Saudi Judge sentences Pregnant Rape Victim to prison and 100 lashes- as per Sharia law.

Jeddah where the attack took place.

A terrible injustice. However what the Daily Mail does not report accurately is the fact that this sentence is 'just' according to Sharia law. In Sharia for a rape to be prosecuted the requirement is for four independent male witnesses. In the absence of those witnesses the victim as in this case can be punished for adultery. Remember this next time you hear from the Islamists talking about the desire for a Caliphate with Islamic law, should such an obscene system be imposed on Britain or anywhere else this is one example of what to expect. The majority of Islamists are surprise surprise young men, it is hardly surprising that they seek to implement a system that only benefits Islamic men. Under Sharia law, women (as in this case) and Non-Muslims are the losers. Perhaps one of the Islamists who occasionally visit this site would like to explain to me how the punishment of this woman in Saudi is against Islam? It is not and the Judge in Jeddah has correctly upheld the Islamic law concerning rape.

Paul,
I have not looked at this particular case, so I can't comment on the specifics, however instead of lamenting the crimes of your ideological enemies about which nothing can done, why don't you focus on things that the west is doing, things that westerners could actually change? For example instead of lamenting the barbarism of Islam why don't you focus on the fact that Saudi Arabia is ruled by a western puppet who would likely annul this ruling with enough pressure? Why don't you focus on the arms your country supplies to Israel? Why no focus on making reparations to former colonies? Reading your blog one would get the sense that the west is this enclave of enlightenment that can do no wrong, but is still under siege by barbarism from all sides and from within.

YA this is my blog and I'll comment on what I want if that's okay with you?

My reasons for highlighting this matter are quite simple. As a libertarian I object to laws based upon religion in this case Sharia. Now there is not really such a thing as Christian law and Jewish law is largely restricted to family matters. In any case there is no campaign to bring either Christian or Jewish law to the UK. On the other hand there are a number of aggressive campaigns by Islamist groups to introduce Sharia to the west. As such I will always criticise the appalling excesses of Sharia law. Doubtless you would prefer I did not but I do not care for your obfuscations on this issue. I agree with you about Saudi Arabia, we should not buy oil from or sell weapons to them.
